We are not technologists guessing at how compliance works.

Finlume is being built by the people who do this work by hand.

The mission

Not just a product. A different way for the profession to work.

Finlume exists to do two things. The first is access: bringing regulated financial advice to the millions of people the market has priced out. The second is bigger — changing how our profession operates. Advice has been delivered the same way for decades: by hand, one client at a time, at a cost that decides who deserves a plan and who does not.

We are tech-led first, on purpose. When the technology carries the arithmetic, the paperwork and the process, advisers are freed to do the part that actually needs a person — and the job we exist to do can finally reach every person who needs it, not just the ones who can absorb the fee. One product, one market, done properly. That is where it starts.

Who is building this

A practising adviser, not a technologist guessing.

Finlume is founded and led by Dion Angove, a practising financial adviser who spends his working week inside the manual compliance and back-office process Finlume is being built to automate. He will personally review and sign off the first tranche of automated suitability reports before any of them reaches a client.

He is a UK and EU-qualified international financial planner, DipPFS and ACSI, with more than a decade advising clients on cross-border financial planning — investments, pensions, taxation and estate planning treated as one problem rather than four. Before financial services he served four years in the British Army.

The engineering, compliance and distribution roles around him are being appointed as the business is funded and authorised.

Qualified and practising

DipPFS and ACSI, advising UK and international clients today — not a technologist interpreting the rules from the outside.

Cross-border by background

Over a decade of planning across jurisdictions, where investments, pensions, tax and estate planning have to be solved together. That is the logic being encoded.

Four years, British Army

Before financial services. It is where the habit of doing the process properly, every time, came from.

Independence

Where other interests sit.

Finlume is a standalone company, independent of any advice firm. Where anyone involved in Finlume has an interest in another business that could touch it, that interest is disclosed and managed rather than left implicit. And when our own advisers are not the right answer for you, we say so and point you to the independent market — a service you can leave is the only kind worth trusting.
